Thirty years in Wichita
Dr. Sheri Love (Sheri Boynton-Love, DDS) began practicing family dentistry in Wichita in 1996. About ten years ago she turned her focus to the airway and sleep, joined the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and became one of its qualified providers. Today, dental sleep medicine and TMJ care are what she does at Love Sleep.
Training
Dr. Love has spent 15 years learning from the most respected names in dental sleep medicine, TMJ care and the bite. It’s the kind of advanced, ongoing education few dentists pursue, and it’s why physicians trust her with their patients’ airways.
- American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, qualified provider
- Dr. Steven Olmos, TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre International, a leading educator in craniofacial pain and sleep-related breathing disorders
- The Dawson Academy, known for its teaching on the bite and the jaw joint
- The Kois Center, an advanced program in restorative and functional dentistry
How she works
Dr. Love doesn’t run sleep studies herself, and she doesn’t try to replace your physician. She works alongside sleep physicians, primary care doctors and ENTs, and partners with a local sleep physician who shares her focus. After your consultation your doctor gets a summary and your treatment plan, and your follow-up sleep test results are shared with them too. That’s why physicians across Wichita send their patients to her.
Her care is gentle and unhurried. Your appliance is made from 3D scans, fitted carefully, and adjusted a fraction of a millimeter at a time until you’re sleeping well and comfortable.
