How it works

2. You sleep at homeWear the small monitor for one night. It records your breathing, oxygen level and heart rate while you sleep.
3. A sleep physician reads itYour results are interpreted by a sleep physician, who makes the diagnosis.

Who it’s for

A home test is a good fit for adults who might have obstructive sleep apnea: loud snoring, witnessed pauses, waking up gasping, or exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix. Not sure? Take the two-minute sleep quiz first.

If your physician suspects central sleep apnea or another sleep disorder, or you have certain heart or lung conditions, they may recommend an in-lab sleep study instead.

Already had a sleep study?

Bring the results and your physician’s prescription to your consultation, or fax them to 316-440-4426. There’s no need to test again before treatment.

After treatment starts

Once your oral appliance has been adjusted, a follow-up sleep test with the appliance in place confirms it’s controlling your sleep apnea. Dr. Love shares those results with your physician.
